However, on being contacted, Khosla said the DHCBA executive committee did not have the power to take such a decision and that he is still the president of the Bar Association.
The Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) arrived at the decision as it felt that Khosla was acting "in detriment" of the interests of its members in view of an anti-strike SMS allegedly circulated by him.
Khosla also said the resolution was passed in his absence and added that nobody can stop him from continuing in the post.
The committee has also said in its resolution that even in the past Khosla has been "orally cautioned" not to issue such SMSs, despite which he has allegedly repeated the act.
"The Executive Committee strongly condemns Rajiv Khosla for indulging in anti-bar activities, conducting himself in a manner designed to cause harm to the interests of the members of the Bar and generally acting in a manner calculated to bring disrepute to the DHCBA," the association's Secretary, Abhijat, said.
"The committee unanimously further resolved to issue notice to Rajiv Khosla calling upon him to show cause as to why action be not taken against him for indulging in anti-bar activities.
