Divorce bettered my performance in next film: Richard Gere

Hollywood star Richard Gere says his split from wife of 11 years, Carey Lowell, helped him get the act of a homeless man right in his upcoming film 'Time Out of Mind'.
Gere, 65, who plays a homeless man trying to reconnect with his daughter in the movie, said he could get the right emotions in the film as he was going through divorce during its filming, reported New York Post.
"What probably really helped was that I was right in the middle of a divorce... The emotions were right on the surface," the actor said.
