The move comes days after the government made the appointment of 'Metro Man' E Sridharan as the Principal Advisor for the proposed Metro Rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
DMRC, as per its terms of reference, will be paid Rs 8 lakh per kilometre for the MRTS corridors in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, according to Municipal Administration Principal Secretary D Sambasiva Rao.
The DMRC would conduct the feasibility study and prepare DPRs for viable corridors for Metro Rail in the port city Visakhapatnam and the new capital of the state Vijayawada.
DMRC would be paid Rs 50 lakh as fee for the Tirupati report, an order issued by the Principal Secretary said.
