Ryan Reynolds is expected to reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth and Josh Brolin is expected to return as Cable. The other members are still unclear.
Goddard made his feature film directorial debut with 2012's horror movie "The Cabin in the Woods".
He got an Oscar nomination for the script he wrote for "The Martian". He will next helm the "Deadpool" sequel.
