The 27-year-old-singer said it helped her in forgetting that she is popular, reported Contactmusic.
"The thing that I really fell in love with about it is that I completely forget that I'm famous just totally forget about it," Gaga said.
"I just take a puff and I'm me when I was 17 again, in my white go-go boots, looking for a job on the lower east side, and there's something quite creative and liberating about it," she added.
