Singer Jennifer Lopez, who is still finalising her divorce from ex-husband Marc Anthony, has asked to drop his surname in order to legally restore her last name to Lopez.
Even though the former couple parted ways in 2011 and Anthony filed divorce papers last year, Lopez, 44, only filed a response recently, reported People magazine.
Lopez has asked for joint legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old twins, Max and Emme and seeks to terminate the court's ability to award spousal support to Anthony, 45.
The singer earlier this year admitted that "her whole world fell apart" when her seven-year marriage to Anthony ended.
But now she has moved on with dancer and choreographer Casper Smart.
