DSP BlackRock appoints Parekh as Joint President

DSP BlackRock Investment Managers, leading asset management company, today announced that Kalpen Parekh has been appointed as Joint President.
He will be responsible for overseeing functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Risk & Quantitative Analysis, while leading International Sales.
Parekh brings in over 19 years of experience in sales across client segments, distribution and marketing. Previously, he was the Managing Director and Head of Sales & Marketing at IDFC Mutual Fund.
S Naganath will continue to be the President and CIO of the firm.
"Our assets under management have grown at a fast pace over the last year. Kalpen's valuable experience in the industry will be helpful in accelerating the current growth momentum of DSP BlackRock and in achieving many more milestones in the future," Naganath said in a statement.

Hemendra Kothari, Chairman, DSP BlackRock Investment Managers said that Parekh's leadership experience will drive further energy into the company's growing momentum.
