Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami, in an interaction with the employees of Delhi Transport Corporation, told them to work with zeal and enthusiasm to ensure an efficient bus transport system in the city.
Goswami said DTC has been losing substantial amount of revenue due to ticketless travel by a sizeable section of commuters and asked the employees to come down hard on such passengers.
He said Government would take every possible step to ensure welfare of the employees.
"To ensure a better work culture, DTC would improve working conditions in its offices. The demands related to the service conditions would be sympathetically looked into," he said.
He said DTC management has decided to provide canteen services in all its depots.
