DTC observes Zero Breakdown Day

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) today observed 'Zero Breakdown Day' and said that bus breakdowns have reduced by 80 per cent since last week.
"Depots and service providers were informed and general maintenance and preventive maintenance of buses was strengthened to achieve 'Zero Breakdown,'" DTC Managing Director C R Garg said.
The corporation decided to observe September 14 as 'Zero Breakdown Day' keeping in view the unprecedented crisis of breakdowns of buses on Delhi roads.
Garg said that 19 depots achieved the target of 'Zero Breakdown' till 3 PM across the national capital. Breakdowns have been reduced by more than 80 per cent as compared to the breakdown of buses on September 7.
"This has been achieved with all out efforts of officials of DTC as well as service providers. The breakdowns have been brought down drastically," he said.
The DTC MD congratulated all officials of the corperation as well as service providers for reducing the breakdowns. He also stated that the process will continue till 'Zero Breakdown' is achieved.
The depots that have achieved the 'Zero Breakdown' will be given a certificate, Garg said.
The following depots achieved the target of 'Zero Breakdown': Subhash Place Depot, Rohini Depot-I, Rohini Depot-III, Rohini Depot-IV, GTK Depot, Nangloi Depot, Narela Depot, Kanjhawala Depot, Kalkaji Depot etc.
