The varsity had formed a 23-member committee last week to work on the admission policies. The committee is of the view that after the postgraduate admissions, the registration for undergraduate admissions should also be completely online.
"There were lot of deliberations and discussions on the issue but it has been decided that the registration process will go completely online," a committee member said.
Till now, only the postgraduate admission registrations were being done online. For the undergraduate admission both online and offline processes were in place.
The admission committee, which held its first meeting today, comprises deans from faculties of science, commerce and arts, nine college principals and members from the executive and academic councils. The dean of students' welfare is the convener of the committee.
The admissions will start from May. DU admits 54,000 undergraduate students in various courses across over 60 colleges. Centralised online application process for PG courses has already started.
Implementation of the Choice Based Credit Transfer Scheme (CBCS) was also on the meeting agenda, however, no decision could be reached on the same, the member said.
