The two accused have been identified as Golu and Kalia, of whom the former has been arrested, police said.
According to police, the incident took place last night at around 11:30 P.M. When the two accused arrived at the woman's residence, where she lived with her uncle and started an argument with him.
"As the argument heated up, the woman intervened on behalf of her uncle, whereupon the duo first threatened to throw acid on her and asked her to go inside. But when she persisted, they actually threw acid on her," police said.
A case has been registered at Nand Nagri police station under various sections.
"We have arrested Golu and efforts are on to nab Kalia. We are verifying the claims of the victim and further investigations are on," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-east) RA Sanjeev.
