Dutch, among 2 drug peddlers, arrested with 1,200 LSD stamps

Two alleged drug peddlers, including a Dutch national, have been arrested and 1,200 stamps of LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) -- a banned drug popular in high-profile party circuits -- worth Rs eight crore have been recovered from them, police said today.
The duo, Pedro Maria Tobar Garcia -- a Netherland national and Sunny Khanna -- a resident of Ghaziabad, were arrested on Monday from near Anand Vihar area of east Delhi on specific input, a senior police official said.
According to police, Garcia used to smuggle drugs from Netherland and it was then supplied for the rave parties to the Indian drug peddlers. He then smuggle 'Charas' from India to European countries.

"The value of recovered LSD drugs is around Rs eight crore in the international market. This is second recovery of LSD stamp papers in the history of Delhi Police and Narcotics Control Bureau and may be the highest recovery in India," the official said.
Garcia came to Delhi from Jaipur on October 6 and contacted Khanna.
Garcia used to run artificial jewellery business in Holland, adding that he first came to India about 5-6 years ago in connection with his business.
