People looking for information online on construction permits in areas under the three municipal corporations in Delhi can now access it on social media as a Facebook page and a Twitter handle has been launched by the nodal agency for 'ease of doing business'.
The South Delhi Municipal Corporation is the nodal agency for 'ease of doing business' in respect of construction permit for the three civic bodies - NDMC, SDMC and EDMC.
"In order to provide ease to the applicants for getting construction permits, the SDMC has introduced Facebook and Twitter accounts on 'ease of doing business'," officials said today.
The Twitter handle is @EoDB_MCD and the Facebook page is 'eodbmcd'. These are effective modes for two-way communication between the building department of civic bodies and the applicants.
"Further, this will also prove useful to professional architects empanelled with the corporations," the SDMC said in a statement.
The two new tools will help in dissemination of latest instructions, information, changes in the existing procedure, if any, achievements, important related activities and submission of suggestions, anomalies and obstacles, for making the present application more useful and purposeful, officials said.
SDMC Commissioner Puneet Kumar Goel said launching of the new social media accounts is in tune with the concept of 'Digital India' being promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
