Edible, non-edible oils trade sluggish on weak demand

Groundnut oil prices fell further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on weak demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also eased in the absence of retail buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slid owing to poor demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil declined by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 930 from Monday's closing level of Rs 940 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 502 as against Rs 504 previously.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold slumped by Rs 100 per 100 kg to Rs 3,575 from Rs 3,675 and castor oil commercial slipped by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 745 as compared to Rs 765 yesterday.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 775 per 10 kg.
