The 22nd National Conference on e-governance on Friday adopted a resolution to set up an Electronic Skill Centre here, officials said.
The resolution to set up the Electronic Skill Centre here is part of the 10-point Shillong Declaration adopted during the second-day of the conference.
"We are mooting to set up the electronic skill centre in Shillong operationalised by the electronic skill council to create employment opportunities and skill upgradation for the youths of the state," joint secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, V Srinivas told media persons here.
He said, "It was found that Reliance Jio alone outsourced 50,000 jobs and digital technicians can be developed within six months time. In view of this, we adopted this resolution."
