Elephant tramples woman to death

A middle-aged tribal woman was found dead at a forest in Kalaikunda of West Midnapore after apparently being trampled by an elephant, forest officials said here today.
The woman, identified as 55-year-old Aditi Mahato, had gone to the forest with five others to fetch woods for cooking when an elephant trampled her to death from behind, they said.
The woman died on the spot and her body has been sent for postmortem, they said.
