Engineering student kills self in Tamil Nadu

An 18-year-old girl, who was studying in an engineering college here, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of her hostel today, police said.
Sinthia, a resident of Mettur in Salem district, was a second year student and staying in the private college hostel.
According to police, she suddenly came out of her room and jumped down, resulting in her instantaneous death.
Some of her hostel mates, who witnessed the incident, informed the management.
The body has been sent for postmortem, police said adding investigations are on to ascertain the reason behind the suicide.
