The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has been mandated to settle all claims with 20 days.
June saw the EPFO taking a landmark decision to unveil 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat' or 'PF Near You', a public outreach initiative aimed at increasing the interaction between the various stakeholders of EPFO.
The 'PF Near You' would replace Bhavishyanidhi Adalat and would be held on 10th of every month starting from July, 2015.
The inaugural function for this initiative is scheduled tomorrow at EPFO's regional office at Dwarka in Delhi, which would be presided over by Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
According to the statement, the grievance redressal machinery in EPFO was able to dispose more than 18,300 grievances during the month.
A total of 47,914 numbers of grievances were settled from April to June, 2015. Only 3,200 grievances were pending for disposal in all the offices of EPFO put together.
"The success of introduction of e-initiatives in EPFO has been evidenced by the fact that 58 lakh EPF members have already activated their UAN (universal account number," it said.
Besides, more than 42,500 cases registered with Inoperative Account Online Helpdesk have been disposed and more than 53,000 establishments have availed the facility for getting themselves registered with EPFO using the online mode.
