Jung Bahadur, resident of Shri Hargobindpur, was working as an event manager and organising functions at rural level, police said.
Bahadaur presented Paramjeet Singh as his gunman provided by police for his security. However, Singh was a Special Police Officer (SPO) dismissed by the department in 2000.
A .32 bore revolver, .315 bore riffle and 12 bore double barrel gun were recovered from the accused, police said.
A case under various sections of the IPC and the arms Act was registered against them, police added.
