The 56-year-old actor, who played Raymond Barone's younger brother, Robert in the late 1990s show, will be seen as a series regular in the CBS drama pilot, reported Deadline.
Garrett will portray Bill, a hardworking reporter who has spent his life right from the lower positions to the executive producer at The Get.
He joins previously announced cast member Emayatzy Corinealdi, who will play Noelle on the series.
The plot of the show is based on a team of internet journalists with never-say-die attitude and who pursue and do exposes by applying unconventional investigative techniques in today's world of reporting.
