Justice Sanjay Karol of the high court granted bail to Sharma, a former MLA from the Badsar assembly segment in Hamirpur district, till the next date of hearing on April 17.
Sharma was booked on April 1 on the complaint of a woman from his home district, who had alleged that he had sexually exploited her at his residence in Vidhan Sabha Complex on March 25, 2012 when he was a sitting MLA.
