Explosives seized, two nabbed

A large quantity of explosives have been seized and two persons arrested near Sulebyle forest range here in this connection, police said today.
The duo, including one from Andhra Pradesh's Ananthpur district, were bringing explosives comprising gelatin rods, ammonium sulphate and detonators packed in bags to Shimoga in a truck. The police tried to intercept the vehicle but the driver sped away.
However, police succeeded in stopping the vehicle near Shimoga last night rpt last night and on investigation found the explosives in the truck. The two accused are being interrogated, police said.
