All major financial decisions regarding projects of the premier institute are taken during the SFC meeting.
In a letter to Health Secretary C K Mishra, the Faculty Association said most of the agenda items listed for the meeting are major policy issues involving huge financial implications and that "there is no urgency" as such to hold the meeting tomorrow.
"The FAIIMS request you to postpone the meeting of SFC till the new Director and new Deputy Director Administration (DDA) joins the Institute so that they get the opportunity to shape the things with broader vision and also bring transparency to the system," the letter said.
The cost estimates and design of the Centre of Excellence and Research for Child Neurodevelopmental Disorders, amendments in layout plans for Mother and Child Block, machinery and equipment procurement plan for National Cancer Institute, MOU with the Ministry of Ayush for Centre for Integrative Medicine are high in the agenda of the meeting.
