Father killed, son injured in road accident

A businessman was killed and his son injured when an unidentified car hit their scooter in Murlipura area here, police said today.
Daulat Ram (44) was returning home from his shop in Vidhyadhar nagar with his son Bharat (17) when the accident occurred on Sikar road last night, they said.
The duo were rushed to a nearby hospital where Daulat Ram succumbed to his injuries while Bharat was given primary treatment, police said, adding, that the body was handed over to the family members after postmortem.
The car driver fled from the spot and the vehicle has not been identified yet, they said, adding, further investigation is on.
