Father, son arrested in land grabbing case

Anandhanathan had allegedly created a forged document over the land in Pallikaranai, near here, and sold it to one Sameer Metha and made a "settlement document" with the help of his son Sebastian, police said in a release.

The matter came to light when one Chandrasekaran had bought the land from Ramachandran who is the real owner of the land, it said.

Chandrasekaran had noticed a board on the property saying it belongs to 'Majestic Builder'. He contacted the phone number provided in the board and realised that the property had been allegedly sold to Sameer Metha of Majestic Builder by Anandhanathan.

Chandrasekaran gave a complaint and investigations showed Anadhanathan had grabbed the land by creating a fake document and had sold to Metha.

Anandhanathan and Sebastian were arrested today and were produced before Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, who remanded them 15-day judicial custody, the release said.
