Boosted by the return of Brazillian Andre Santos, FC Goa would look to for a turnaround with a good show against Mumbai FC in their Hero Indian Super League fixture at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here tomorrow.
FC Goa could be one of the most attacking sides in the ongoing ISL but they lacked in finishing which has put them at the bottom of the league table with four points from six matches. They have won just one match, drawing one and losing four times.
After their first win at home against Delhi Dynamos, a lot was expected from FC Goa in their away match against Kerala Blasters but once again they went down by a solitary goal after creating numerous scoring opportunities.
FC Goa coach Zico is likely to make a few changes in tomorrow's starting lineup but said that his team has the potential to bounce back and return to winning ways.
The return of Santos will help the team to bolster the attack as he has the capacity to score goals from long rangers also.
"My boys have played well in all the matches but when it came to scoring they have failed which have put us at the bottom of table. During practice sessions I try and bring every inch of my experience to show the players what to expect, what can happen, what to avoid so that the team can focus on what they have learnt during training sessions," Zico said.
"We have to carry on. We have to believe in ourselves and we have to be brave. The road is long. As long as there is life we have to survive. We are breathing and a couple of victories will put us back on the track when when play the second phase," said the legendary Brazillian.
With two consecutive wins, Mumbai FC are placed fourth with nine points from six matches and a win will put them up the ladder.
Mumbai FC have a balance midfield and a strong defence and a reliable keeper in Subrata Paul. They will be looking for their third successive win to move up the ladder.
