Female foetus recovered from drain in Punjab

Police today recovered a female foetus from a drain after receiving reports from locals at Shekupur Kalan village here.
The residents of village Shekupur noticed a female foetus in a polythene bag and informed police about it.
After taking it out of the sewage, police sent it to civil hospital here for postmortem. In the autopsy report, it was found that the foetus was of a seven-month-old baby girl.
A case has been registered in this regard, police said.
