Files related to Mahatma's assassination in NAI custody: Govt

The government today said files related to the Mahatma Gandhi assassination case are in the custody of National Archives of India.
Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Shripad Naik informed the Lok Sabha that files related to the Mahatma Gandhi assassination case are in the custody of NAI.
He clarified the government has not taken any decision to destroy the records.
"No such decision has been taken," Naik said in reply to a question on whether the government has taken any decision to destroy the historical records relating to assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
