Robbery attempt at treasury office fails

No cash was stolen from the district treasury office here in an unsuccessful burglary attempt by unknown persons, police said today.
The unknown persons last Sunday attempted to break into the district treasury office by in a systematic manner and but could not steal anything from the office, which is guarded round the clock, police inspector City Kotwali police station Anirudha Adhau said.
The lock of the main gate and boxes were found broken and screw drivers, rod were recovered from the site, he said, adding a team of officials was sent out to nab the miscreants.
A case has been registered against the unknown persons in this connection and further investigations are on.
