They have been book under relevant sections of IPC for rioting, extortion and house-tresspass, they said.
According to FIR, the incident happened on July 24, when RWA office bearers of Kanchan Janga society in Kushambi, held hostage the wife of Advocate-on-Record in Supreme Court Gaurav Goel.
It is alleged that the RWA was demanding Rs 1.5 lakh from the lawyer, who had purchased a flat in the society.
Following which, Goel moved the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and prayed to court to pass an order to police to lodge the FIR.
Based on which, the CJM court on September 1 ordered Indira Puram police to lodge an FIR.
On September 9, a case was registered against nine office bearers of RWA under sections 146 (rioting), 147 (Punishment for rioting), 148 (Rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 384 (punishment for extortion), 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), 432 (Mischief by causing inundation) 448 (Punishment for house-trespass), 453 (Punishment for lurking house-trespass or house-breaking) and 120A (criminal conspiracy).
