FIR against seven members of a family in dowry case

A case has been registered against seven members of a family for allegedly harrasing a woman for dowry here, police said today.
The complainant, Nisha, yesterday lodged a police complaint accusing her husband Anil, brothers-in-law Sunil and Rajbir, sisters-in law, Neetu and Babli, mother-in-law Kiran and father-in-law Rajkumar for torturing her for dowry, police said.
She alleged that the accused had started harassing and threatening to kill her soon after her marriage in February 2009.
Police said the complaint has been registered and further investigation is underway.
