There was no immediate report of any casualty.
According to fire department, the fire broke out at Oriental Bank in Harsha Bhawan located at E-block of Connaught Place, a commercial hub in the heart of the city.
Fire department received a call at 11:40 AM after which fifteen fire tenders were pressed into service.
"We are yet to ascertain the cause of fire. So far the operation is on and we are trying to douse the blaze," fire department official said.
