The all-India examinations for 3,273 vacancies of Senior Section Engineers and Junior Engineers are being held online from August 26 to September 4, railways said in a statement.
The application process for the examinations was also conducted online. Around 18 lakh candidates have applied for the vacant posts.
The examinations are being conducted in 242 cities across the country including far-off locations in North-East and Jammu and Kashmir.
Railways said the online format is expected to enhance objectivity, transparency and credibility of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations significantly.
