Five people were today arrested for allegedly killing a 17-year-old boy in Beed's Prakash Ambedkar Nagar area, police said.
"The victim, Amar Narayan Hatagale, was going home when one of the accused, Rahul Lahu Ankushe, picked up a fight with him yesterday night. Four of Ankushe's relatives joined in and assaulted Hatagale," said police inspector P S Bade of Peth Beed police station.
He said that the victim was rushed to the local civil hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by authorities there.
The official informed that the five accused had been charged with murder and further investigations were underway.
