According to police, a police team was checking vehicles yesterday when they were informed about a vehicle carrying cow meat. When police tried to step the vehicle the persons sitting inside it fired at the cops but the policemen retaliated and forced the vehicle to stop.
Two country-made pistols, along with cartridgeswere seized from the possession of five persons, police said.
The accused have been identified as Kaleem, Sonu, Durgesh, Vijaysingh and Radheshyam who confessed that they were bringing cow meat from Bhargain to Delhi for sale.
