Asit Manna (27) was taking his 32-year-old sister and 8-year-old niece to his sister's in-law's place when the accident occurred at Sabgachhtala locality.
Manna died on the spot while the other two were admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be serious.
The MUV fled from the spot after the accident, police said.
