Five booked for thrashing boy, girl in Kurukshetra

Five youths were booked for allegedly beating up a boy and a girl at a park in Ladwa area here after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
The video purportedly shows a boy and a girl, who were sitting in the Jindal park, being accosted by a youth who starts beating up the boy despite the girl pleading to spare him. Another youth is seen slapping the girl as well.
The accused are then joined by more youths who assault the boy while one of them films the incident.
Ladwa police station inspector Nirmal Singh said the incident occurred a month ago.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC against five youths who are absconding and a probe is underway, he said.
