Five cousins, including two women, were injured today when a fight broke out among them in Latehar district after one family member accused the other of witchcraft that led to the death of a woman in a recent road accident.
Latehar Superintendent of Police Anoop Birtheray said the cousins scuffled at Balumath of the district after one family charged the other with witchcraft which 'caused' the death of one of the family members (a woman) in a recent road accident.
All the injured were admitted to a hospital, he said.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection, the SP said.
In the last about one month, at least half-a-dozen persons have been killed in Jharkhand in the superstitious belief of witchcraft.
