Earlier, the government had issued land acquisition notices for construction of the airport which is 40 km from here, on September 1.
Farmers and villagers can file their objections within 60 days from the notification issued for acquisition of land for the airport, district sub-collector R Srilata said at a press conference here today.
Under the new acquisition act, those whose lands were acquired would get a better compensation package, the official said.
Replying to a question, District Divisional Revenue Officer Srinivasa Murthy said that all displaced persons will be rehabilitated in near by villages and packages will be given according to new land acquisition bill.
