Five missing climbers feared dead on Nepal mountain

Five climbers, including the first Hungarian to scale Mount Everest, are missing for the last three days on Kangchenjunga mountain on the Nepal-India border, an official said today.
Kanchenjunga with an elevation of 8,586 metre is the third highest peak in the world.
The climbers -- two from Hungary, two from Nepal and one from South Korea -- went missing on May 20 while they were attempting to climb the peak, Tilak Pandey, an official at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture said.
They were last sighted near the fourth camp of the peak situated at an altitude of 8,000 metre.

They might have been hit by an avalanche and it is unlikely that they would be found alive, the official said.
The missing climbers were identified by Nepalese official as Zsolt Eross (45) and Peter Kiss (27) from Hungary, Nam-Su Park (47) from South Korea and two Nepalese guides Bivash Gurung (24) and Pho Dorji Sherpa (23).

Eross was the first Hungarian to climb the Everest.
A team of 10 Sherpas is trying to locate the exact accident site.
The accident occurred at a time when Nepal is observing the diamond jubilee of the first human ascent to the Everest on May 29.
