Flipkart appoints Punit Soni as Chief Product Officer

eCommerce major Flipkart has appointed former Motorola Vice President Punit Soni as Chief Product Officer to head its product strategy division.
Soni, who has also worked with Google as Product Management Executive, will lead the product definition and innovation charter for Flipkart consumer products, marketplace and transaction platform.
In this role, he will drive product strategy, design and product marketing functions to build world class user interface and product solutions, Flipkart said in a statement.

TSTT inks partnership with YuppTV to offer Bollywood content * Hyderabad-based over-the-top (OTT) content player YuppTV and Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) have signed an agreement to deliver OTT Bollywood content to subscribers in Trinidad & Tobago.
Through the partnership, YuppTV will provide a full technology solution to TSTT, it said.
The subscribers of TSTT's OTT service can watch premium Bollywood channels live as well as 7-day "catchup" on multiple devices with a single subscription, it was stated. PTI RS

HDIL puts 113-acre land parcel in Guj on block * Realty player Housing Development Infrastructure (HDIL) today said it will sell its 113-acre land parcel in Gujarat to pare debt.
"HDIL has put on block 113.47 acre industrial plot in Gujarat. The company's decision is in line with its philosophy of exiting non-core assets and focusing on debt reduction," the company said in a statement.
The land parcel is located adjacent to Ranoli railway station, on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara corridor, and falls under the jurisdiction of the Vadodara Urban Development Authority, the company said.

Crompton Greaves to supply 4 million LEDs to EESL * Crompton Greaves has received an order for supplying four million LED lamps to Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL).
"Crompton will supply close to 4 million LED lamps to EESL for its various projects," the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
EESL, is a joint venture set up by the Ministry of Power comprising four public sector undertakings -- NTPC, REC, PFC and Power Grid Corporation.
