Folk artists in the district are doing their bit to help officials educate voters against the evils of receiving money for votes by holding street corner programmes in rural areas and also entertaining them
The folk artists of Karakattam and Marakkalattam who speak the local dialect of the rural people have been attracting good crowd response for their programmes, Tashildar V Muthuramalingam said.
They drive home their moral - don't take money for votes - through short stories.
The programme is being held for two days from today in the district at different places, he said.
