Domestic sales rose 22.3 per cent to 5,780 units last month from 4,726 units in the same period a year ago, Ford India said in a statement.
Exports during the month zoomed by 64.55 per cent to 11,499 units from 6,988 units in May 2015, it added.
Commenting on the sales performance, Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales, and Service) Anurag Mehrotra said focus on transforming "the Ford brand in India with transparency and attentiveness at its core" has paid off.
