Under this scheme, special days have been fixed during which people are invited to visit police stations and offices of gazetted police officers and obtain information about their pending FIRs and complaints, a spokesman of the Police Department said.
He said that till May 15, about 1,700 people visited police stations and offices of gazetted police officers in the Karnal district.
Of these, about 1,300 obtained information about pending complaints and about 400 obtained information about criminal cases.
Similarly, in Rohtak district, about 470 and 350 people obtained information about pending complaints and criminal cases respectively.
