Former terrorist sent to judicial custody

Former terrorist Gurvinder Singh alias Guri, who was arrested here was today produced in a local court that sent him to judicial custody.
This was stated here by Phagwara DSP Manpreet Singh Dhillon. He said that Guri was produced in court last evening.
A resident of Gali No 3 of local Friends colony, Guri was a former leader of a radical outfit International Youth Sikh Students Federation (IYSSF).
A .32 bore pistol, 2 live cartridges, and a magazine were seized from him.
Guri was arrested at a police 'naka' at link road of Peeparangi when he was going in a black-coloured SUV.
The arrest was made under various Sections of the Arms Act, he said, adding the vehicle was also impounded.
Guri had undergone a seven-year jail term in Nabha jail in 2007 after explosive substances were recovered from him.
