"America has numerous billionaires who have stronghold on economy but still there are a large number of poor in America which was the adverse impact of some policies," Joel Berg, the Executive Director of The New York City Coalition against Hunger said while addressing a meeting of activists here.
Like India, the problem of hunger was high in America also which was rising constantly, he said.
Berg suggested that developing economies like India should be careful in formulating policies, especially when following those of America.
People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) General Secretary Kavita Srivastava and other activists including Mamta Jaitley, Ashok Khandelwal were among those present.
