Four arrested with 300 kg poppy in J&K

Four people were arrested after 300 kilogrammes of poppy straw was recovered from them in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, the police said today.
Two trucks, both headed towards Punjab from Kashmir, were intercepted in Banihal and Teether area of Ramban late last night, they added.
Around 250kg of poppy was seized from one of the trucks while 50kg of poppy was seized from the other, an official said.
Four people were arrested in this connection and both trucks have been seized, he added.
