A 28-year-old passenger, Syed Ali, a native of Andhra Pradesh, arrived here this morning from Dubai by an Emirates Airways flight. When customs authorities scrutinised his baggage, it was found that he had allegedly concealed 1.2 kg of gold in his suitcase.
Similarly, another passenger from Dubai, Mustafa, hailing from Kerala, was detained this afternoon after it was found that he had allegedly concealed three kg of gold inside a television set.
