Singer Frankie Bridge says she has often been targeted by social media trolls but no longer reads their threats.
The Saturdays singer claimed she has been abused online and said she sympathises with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, after he threatened police action against one particular online pest who made threats to his baby son Freddie, reported Female First.
The 27-year-old beauty, who has battled with depression in the past, explained, "Louis Tomlinson is going to call the police to track down a vile troll who he recorded saying, 'I hope your baby dies' on the phone, and I don't blame him.
"Nobody should be getting away with things like this! If someone said to me in the street, 'I hope your baby dies' or, 'I'm going to kill you,' then that would be taken seriously, and this is no different."
Frankie said online trolls think there is anonymity that comes with abusing people over the internet and she insisted it is a perception that needs to change.
The brunette beauty, who is married to retired soccer star Wayne Bridge, with whom she has sons Parker, two, and Carter, nine months, wrote in a column, "People also think that because they're online, they can say or do what they want but it's not the case. Social media is becoming such a crucial part of everyone's lives that there has to be a line drawn.
"Luckily, I haven't had any verbal threats, but I've had horrible things written. I used to block those people but now, I don't even bother reading it.
