Freight rates drop on easy position of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for a few destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy position of trucks in the market.
Transporters said surplus position of trucks against res triced cargo movements, mainly pulled down select centres freight rates.
Delhi to Jaipur, Chandigarh and Gwalior freights fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 12,000, Rs 13,000 and Rs 11,000.
Rates to Ahmedabad and Patna also went down by Rs 1000 each at Rs 20,000 and Rs 24,000.
